Campaign Launch – Hear Me Out: More to me than cancer

We are pleased to announce our latest campaign “Hear me out!” which calls on healthcare professionals to remember, “There’s more to me than cancer”.

Cancer affects every part of our lives. As a patient-led organisation by and for LGBTIQ+ people with and beyond cancer, we think it’s important that person-centred care includes all parts of us.

That’s why we have partnered with Pfizer to launch the Hear Me Out campaign. Our goal is to help professionals to look beyond the diagnosis to see the whole person, including their LGBTIQ+ identity.

When clinicians really understand us, they can better tailor support to our needs. When we feel heard in our appointments, we feel more at ease. When we feel included, we feel less alone.

Hear me out harnesses the real experiences of our three campaign champions to spread awareness and promote key resources. Head to the webpage to read more about making LGBTIQ+ patients feel comfortable, asking about pronouns, and talking about partners. Let’s break down barriers and foster better experiences for all patients.

Check out our Hear Me Out page to see the campaign in full, along with resources to share with professionals.
