On 19th October 2024, OUTpatients joined the AfroYanga Pride Extravaganza 2024 at Rich Mix London. Organised by Living Free UK, a fantastic organisation which supports and validates the lived experiences of LGBT Africans, Asylum Seekers and Refugees, AfroYanga brought together community members, LGBTIQ+ organisations, and allies for a Pride celebration.

We joined other LGBTIQ+ organisations at the Networking Fair to share information about our resources and services, and had lots of great conversations about screening, peer support, and volunteering opportunities. 

After the Networking fair, attendees enjoyed keynote speeches, thought-provoking panel discussions, and interactive workshops by and for LGBT Africans, Asylum Seekers and Refugees. The evening then wrapped up with the AfroYanga Extravaganza, including afro-themed ballroom and lip sync battles, afrobeats, and plenty of time to dance!
