This October, OUTpatients and Studio Nihilities had the pleasure of running two photography workshops as part of our peer support services.
Generously supported by Bootstrap charity, these workshops led to some wonderful photographs. So, when we were offered the chance to exhibit these photographs in the Print House gallery we (and our newly-minted photographers) jumped at the chance!
The show opened with a private view on Thursday, 28th of November. Five of our service users exhibited photos that they’d taken during the workshops, or afterwards with the skills and inspiration they had gained.
The private view was a hit, with many of the photographers coming to see their work proudly hung on the wall. Some expressed how much they found the workshops and the exhibition to be positive and uplifting touchstones during their cancer experience.
With great company (including friends of OUTpatients, Bootstrap and Nihilities) and festivities flowing, the evening was a special one for our service users and our team.
We’d like to extend our thanks to Studio Nihilities and Bootstrap charity for all the work they put in to make this exhibition happen.
The exhibition is open until the 20th of December. It can be found in the Print House gallery in the reception of the Bootstrap premises, which is open Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
