In late November, the European Cancer Organisation hosted their 2024 summit under the heading “United Against Cancer: Forging New Frontiers”. This year’s event brought together the most influential voices across European cancer and health policy to accelerate efforts against the disease.
Experts, patients, and policymakers were in attendance to discuss new innovations, pressing challenges, and future opportunities. Inequalities and workforce support were common themes across the two days, repeated both on the main stage and in various side meetings held at the Radisson Hotel in Brussels.
As co-chair of the LGBTIQ Workstream, our CEO attended the summit to help lead a side meeting that explored the new LGBTIQ cancer survey that is open now for responses. This survey will be shared across Europe in the hope to catch fresh insights and data that can positively influence European health and cancer policy.
