Overview

Join OUTpatients as a marketing/PR volunteer for our peer support services and play a vital role in supporting our mission to create inclusive cancer care for the LGBTIQ+ community. This opportunity is perfect for someone with marketing and PR skills who wants to make a meaningful impact from the comfort of their own home.

What you will be doing

As a Peer Services Marketing/PR volunteer your tasks could include:

Consulting on mail-chimp communications
Consulting on and potentially creating marketing content and marketing schedules for OUTpatients’ peer service events.
Consulting on and potentially creating marketing content and marketing schedules for the OUTpatients podcast.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills

Experience in Marketing/PR, especially for charities, LGBTIQ+ events, healthcare, or podcasts; Reading English; Writing English; Email.

Bonus Skills

Experience in graphic design and experience in mail-chimp.

LGBTIQ+/Cancer lived experience

It is not essential to be LGBTIQ+ or have lived experience of cancer in order to do this role, however allyship and compassion for these experiences is essential.

Frequency

Ad-hoc and monthly opportunities.

Training offered.
