Did you know that we make around 200 food-related decisions per day without even realising it?
Mindfulness has become extremely popular over the last few years and there is a reason why. It’s described as ‘the practice of purposely bringing one’s attention in the present moment, without judgement and observing your present experience’ and has great benefits for our mental health.
We think mindfulness is great when preparing, cooking and eating the foods we make. This involves using your senses to focus on what you can see, hear, smell, touch and taste. Mindfully bringing attention to this process can help with grounding us back to the present, noticing the experience of preparing and eating food by activating our senses.
Check it out for yourself with our mindfulness recipes led by Shah who will talk you through the steps needed to make your dish and how to pause and connect with the moment and joy of cooking.
