Testimonials

I had the honour of volunteering at the OUTpatients Annual Conference and it was an incredibly enriching experience. The event was well-organised and highlighted the commitment of everyone involved to improve outpatients. I had the opportunity to engage with professionals and attendees from a variety of backgrounds, which deepened my understanding of the field and the challenges and innovations within outpatient services. I was particularly impressed with how smoothly the conference ran, from the registration desk to the sessions and networking opportunities. I learned so much from the speakers and discussions, and it was heartening to see such a strong focus on patient- centered care and continuous improvement.

I really enjoyed volunteering at the OUTpatients Conference last year. I volunteered to support OUTpatients and to learn more about cancer and the discourse around it where it concerned LGBTQIA+ individuals. It was my first time and I learned a whole lot. This has shaped not only my outlook on the subject but also it has shaped and informed what I want I do next in my career. I hope to volunteer with OUTpatients again soon.

Cancer can affect anyone, yet the queer community has been largely underrepresented. We’re changing that.
